"Summer Daydreams" Original Watercolor Painting - Green Tree Landscape

DESCRIPTION
This original green tree watercolor painting is created from a gorgeous tree in the main gardens at the Botanical Gardens, right in front of the water lilies, surrounded by an enormous array of flowers. Every time I go, I go to visit that tree. It calls to me — the texture of the bark, the branches, the leaves.

I took the photo on a summer day when the sun lit up the tree and the grass, providing warm, intense yellow highlights on the grass. The view was completely saturated in color, right down to the complementary mauve shadows on the bottom.

This tree is a reminder for when you need to slow down and take a breath.

It's a place you might want to go to, to sit under that tree with a book. You can imagine doing all sorts of things near this tree, and whatever they are, they're a distraction from whatever stress you're carrying. You can look at it and feel that sun on your skin — especially in the middle of winter.

A temporary escape into the feeling that everything is going to be just fine.

21.5" inches x 14.5" inches (no white border) to bleed to edge. UNFRAMED.
