"Red Rose Revival" Original Pastel Painting

DESCRIPTION
This is a revisit of the same rose I painted over twenty years ago, with the same materials. That first painting sold years ago. This time around, I saw more than just a rose — I felt the sun on my face and nature beckoning me.

This time I chose to zoom in on the flower itself, on that feeling, because there is something very special about this flower. The color pattern on the outer petals, vivid pinks blending in with reds, is so unusual and so intense. It stops you. It demands that you witness nature. It reminds me of a perfect warm summer day, the kind where you want to take a leisurely walk or sit outside with a book.

This painting can bring you peace and my hope is you can feel that warm summer sun on your face too.

8" inches x 10" inches (no white border) to bleed to edge. UNFRAMED.

MATERIALS USED:
Professional quality soft pastels and pastel pencils over a gouache underpainting on archers sanded pastel paper mounted to a board.

SHIPPING
Ships within 4 days with tracking and insurance. I wrap it very carefully either flat or rolled up in a tube and waterproofed.
